Over 340 people from the network’s 76 members and guests attended a Gala Dinner Awards Ceremony following the company’s recent AGM at Chesford Grange, Warwickshire, to establish the winners of the five coveted categories in the scheme: 'Depot of the Year', ‘Sales Award', Most Improved Depot', 'Outstanding Contribution to the Network' and 'Achievement in Excellence'.

'Depot of the Year' is a special award voted for by all the network’s members. Nominations are invited from all members, who are asked to base their choice on wide-ranging criteria including customer service, delivery performance, warehousing and storage facilities, extent of services available and quality control.

Dagenham-based Online Roadways scooped the award for the second year in succession thanks to the outstanding level of customer service offered by the company.

Steven O'Leary, operations director at Online said “Our priority is to provide a first class service so we are delighted that our commitment to our customers has been recognised for the second time by the network’s members and we are very pleased to win this prestigious award.”

This year’s 'Sales' award was presented to Transaction while C&D Express won the ‘Most Improved Depot’ award. The 'Outstanding Contribution to the Network' award went to The Page Group and the 'Achievement in Excellence' award was won by WJ Capper.

Mick Scarlett, chief executive of PalletFORCE commented, “I would like to congratulate the award winners and also all the network’s members for their hard work and commitment to customer service and quality which is the driving force behind our outstanding success.”
