Kettering transport company Knights of Old Ltd (KOO) has switched its palletised distribution network to PalletFORCE, in a move that complements the network’s recently announced consolidation programme. Previously with Pall-Ex, Knights of Old’s decision to join PalletFORCE has been made in the long-term interests of the company and its customers, with a key objective being the continued enhancement of service levels and the strength of the Membership Portfolio of PalletFORCE. “As our business has evolved in the shared user distribution sector we feel that PalletFORCE is more suited in terms of flexibility, quality, commitment and stability in the long term,” explains Paul Abbott, Director of Transport at Knights of Old. “We were particularly attracted by PalletFORCE’s unique democratic member-owned structure, which invites it’s members to have an influence on how the network should operate along with a share of the profits.” Knights of Old has been recruited as a Shareholder Member Depot for parts of the NN and PE postcodes. The company has been in operation since the turn of the 20th Century and today, KOO enjoys an unparalleled reputation, with a flexible haulage fleet operating throughout the UK and Europe, substantial modern warehousing including multi service options, forwarding on a global basis and a comprehensive packing, case and pallet making facility. |
