In order to meet the expected growth, Jempsons’ branch in Wymeswold has been expanded to accommodate new office premises, with a further three vehicles added to the fleet. The Depot is currently recruiting a new member of staff to join its office team, and expects further growth over the next few years.

The expanded facilities at Wymeswold go live on 3rd July and will cover LE 4,5,7, 11-16 and 65.

Jempsons was originally founded in Rye, Sussex in 1866 and its successful haulage business still operates from the region. The company’s pallet distribution depot in Rye has grown since 1996 from one vehicle and one office employee to a current total of fifteen vehicles and four office staff, and has enjoyed significant success since joining PalletFORCE from Palletways in March 2005.

“Our success in Sussex provides an excellent model for the progress we intend to make in Wymeswold,” comments Tom Meyer, PalletFORCE Manager of Jempsons. “PalletFORCE is a fast-growing and customer-focused partner, and we are confident that our existing and potential customers in the Leicestershire region will see the benefits.”
