Regional Operations Manager

Job Purpose:

We are recruiting for a new Regional Operations Manager to work with the Network Manager to promote best practice, excellence in performance and develop strong working relationships within their territory of the Network.


Main Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Act as the ‘GP’ for all depot service issues – identify which remedies are needed (from within the team/wider business) – then track closely the progress, employing escalation measures as appropriate
  • Track member/geographical risk within the region, develop solutions to improve
  • Continuously assess options on ‘Network Support’ depots within region
  • Act as escalation point for problems experienced by depots within region
  • Act as person-in-charge of implementation of any new depots within region
  • Carry-out or organise and depot training as required
  • Feed through development and wish list items for the IT
  • Ensure all depots within region are visited or contacted every calendar month – work with other ROMs/Network Manager to achieve this
  • Ensure service offered by all members within region is in line with business objectives
  • Track operational risk within the region, develop solutions to improve
  • Act as escalation point for problems caused by depots within region
  • Act as person-in-charge of any ‘Special Measures’ depots within region
  • Ensure all depots within region are visited or contacted every calendar month – work with other ROMs/Network Operations Manager to achieve this
  • Review performance information, complaints, hub issues etc.
  • Make decisions on all inter-depot complaints raised against depots in region
  • Update and maintain member CRM system


Other Requirements:

This role requires the post holder to be fully committed, flexible and have the ability to carry out the role professionally and efficiently at all times, including outside of 'normal working hours', and be prepared to travel extensively within the UK and Europe, with nights away from home.
