{"id":102447,"date":"2017-11-23T21:33:00","date_gmt":"2017-11-23T21:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.palletforce.com\/?p=102447"},"modified":"2021-10-20T09:35:35","modified_gmt":"2021-10-20T08:35:35","slug":"silver-service-for-palletforce-member-white-logistics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.palletforce.com\/en\/silver-service-for-palletforce-member-white-logistics\/","title":{"rendered":"Silver service for Palletforce member White Logistics"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Palletforce member White Logistics has achieved a prestigious Silver accreditation from the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The voluntary scheme promotes best practice for commercial vehicle operators, encompasses all aspects of safety, efficiency, and environmental protection by encouraging and training fleet operators to measure, monitor and improve performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pershore-based White Logistics, which covers postcodes in the Worcestershire and Gloucestershire areas through the Palletforce network as well as covering the whole of the mainland UK with their own fleet, spent more than six months ensuring both its vehicles and drivers met the stringent FORS requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This involved significant capital investment in CCTV and audible safety equipment for its 80-strong fleet, plus safety and efficiency training for its drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhite Logistics is always trying to increase quality and the services we provide for our customers and Palletforce depots,\u201d said finance director Pepe Carmine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have had FORS Bronze accreditation for a while now, but Silver not only ensures we are up to date with best practice, but creates opportunities to generate more business with customers and main contractors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>News of the accreditation comes as White Logistics \u2013 which was acquired by brothers Tom and Will Stracey earlier this year \u2013 announced it has also secured \u00a33m financial backing to buy its existing depot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The business has also obtained planning permission to further develop an adjoining site to create a logistics and warehousing hub.<br>The HSBC funding also included a \u00a32m asset finance facility for buying additional trucks and the creation of new jobs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Palletforce member White Logistics has achieved a prestigious Silver accreditation from the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":21,"featured_media":102448,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[29,57,28,26],"tags":[],"postlocation":[],"posttype":[],"postservice":[],"class_list":["post-102447","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-general","category-generallatest-news","category-latest-news","category-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.6 -
