{"id":102461,"date":"2017-09-04T21:54:00","date_gmt":"2017-09-04T20:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.palletforce.com\/?p=102461"},"modified":"2021-10-20T09:57:15","modified_gmt":"2021-10-20T08:57:15","slug":"palletforce-a-perfect-fit-for-new-member-tomsetts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.palletforce.com\/en\/palletforce-a-perfect-fit-for-new-member-tomsetts\/","title":{"rendered":"Palletforce a \u2018perfect fit\u2019 for new member Tomsetts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Palletforce, the UK\u2019s leading express pallet network, has welcomed another strategically-significant new member to its growing network \u2013 its sixth recent addition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Switching from another network,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tomsetts.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tomsetts Distribution<\/a>&nbsp;will further reinforce Palletforce\u2019s presence in south-east England \u2013 an area where recent growth has allowed Palletforce to enhance its service offering.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based in Newhaven, east Sussex, Tomsetts has been an established haulier for nearly 40 years and is currently run by brothers Steve and Ray Tucknott.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Managing director Steve said: \u201cAfter many years with Palletline we were looking to make a change to our network and were really impressed with the ethos and attitude of Palletforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey are a comparatively young company, but in the 16 years they have been operating they have shown tremendous growth, backed by substantial investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s clear that they have a strong long-term strategy, we believe they will be a perfect fit for Tomsetts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are the latest in a series of new members to join Palletforce following its acquisition by global investment group EmergeVest in 2015. With 100 members across the UK, the company recently opened a new SuperHub distribution centre at its headquarters at Burton upon Trent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u00a350m development is capable of processing in excess of 30,000 pallets a night.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Palletforce chief executive Michael Conroy said: \u201cWe are continually investing in our network to enable growth across our membership and that investment is helping us to stand out from the crowd and attract the best companies in key areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTomsetts are proven operators with a reputation for first class customer service so they\u2019re right at home with Palletforce and will help to strengthen our network even further.
