The company was purchased by Matthew Kibble Transport Holdings Limited in 2015, with both companies continuing to operate independently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAfter buying Shakespeare Transport we were approached by a number of pallet networks asking if we would be interested in changing,\u201d said managing director Matthew Kibble. \u201cWith its significant investment in infrastructure and IT, I felt that Palletforce&#8217;s quality ethos demonstrates a long term, viable and successful partner for Shakespeare Transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe double shift a lot of our trucks and provide trunking to parcel companies as well as carrying out general haulage. Additionally, we operate 22,000 sq ft of warehousing at our site in Maidstone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shakespeare Transport, which started out specialising in distribution for the book market and the paper industry in the 1960s, has a 16-strong fleet and employs 40 staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Palletforce chief executive officer Michael Conroy said: \u201cKent is a hugely important strategic area for us and it is essential that we have the very best operator in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cShakespeare Transport is the stand-out candidate since its acquisition by MKT, and we are delighted that Matthew has chosen to come on board.
