Palletforce retains the prestigious Investors In People (IIP) Standard<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UK’s leading palletised distribution network retained the prestigious standard after rigorous external assessment of staff and management performance at its Staffordshire headquarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to meet the IIP standard, the company had to satisfy inspectors in three key areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Leadership (leading and inspiring people, living the organisation’s values, empowering and involving people)<\/li>
  2. Support (managing performance, structuring work, recognising and rewarding high performance)<\/li>
  3. Improvement (new standard improvement; building capability; delivering continuous improvement)<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    During the course of the independent assessment, the IIP assessors met with Palletforce directors and staff on a one-to-one confidential basis to discuss all aspects of the business chosen at random.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Subsequent feedback from the interviews revealed that employees felt a great deal of pride in Palletforce, that they were recognised and rewarded for good work, and had a clear understanding of their duties and what was needed to carry them out successfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The IIP report also highlighted Palletforce’s open door communication policy, as well as the training opportunities available to staff, which is the cornerstone of ‘Delivering, Better’, a company programme to develop staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Having first achieved the accolade in 2011, reaccreditation was duly granted for a further two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Palletforce CEO Michael Conroy said: “We have made substantial investment in technology and infrastructure in recent months, and this year a further \u00a320m will be spent on developing our new Superhub here at Burton upon Trent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
