Job Title: Warehouse Forklift Operator

Salary: £12.88 an hour

The Role:
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor you will be integral in delivering business goals by ensuring all pallets are loaded or unloaded correctly and in a timely manner.
The working hours for this role are from 14:00 to 22:00 Monday to Friday.
You’ll be:
Fully competent to set up and efficiently operate all material handling equipment, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.
Ensure all machinery; mechanical handling equipment and safety devices are used in accordance with company procedure and Health and Safety training.
Carry out and ensure all safety checks on forklift trucks and batteries are carried out, with any defects reported to the warehouse supervisor.
To ensure all stock is checked and booked in stock accurately in accordance with GRN procedures.
What we need from you:
- Qualifications. A Level 2 in English & Maths desirable not essential. Counterbalance and Forklift Licence
- Experience. Previous experience is essential particularly in operating a forklift. You will work well under pressure and have the ability to prioritise. You will have excellent time keeping and have a strong customer and quality focus.
- Influence & Persuasion. Build good working relationships with colleagues and our customers.
- People & Self Development. You will have a flexible “can do” attitude to cope with constantly changing priorities.
