Whether you’re expecting heavy machinery, bulk goods, garden furniture, or building materials, knowing exactly where your shipment is provides real peace of mind.
Palletforce makes it simple to stay up to date with your delivery every step of the way. This guide walks you through exactly how to track your pallet, what information you’ll need, what the tracking updates mean, and what to expect on delivery day.
To track your shipment using the Palletforce online tracking tool, you’ll need two pieces of information:
• Your delivery postcode
• One of the following: a Palletforce tracking number, a consignment number, or a customer reference
You’ll typically receive your tracking number or consignment reference from the sender; this may come via email confirmation when your order is dispatched. If you’re unsure which number to use, check any dispatch notification you’ve received or contact the retailer or business you ordered from.
Using the online tracking tool is straightforward:
• Visit the Palletforce Track My Pallet page
• Enter your delivery postcode in the first field
• Enter your tracking number, consignment number, or customer reference
• Click to submit and view your live tracking status
When you receive an email or SMS notification from Palletforce, simply click the tracking link included in the message. This will take you directly to your tracking page without needing to enter your details manually.
As your pallet moves through the Palletforce network, it is scanned at key stages. Each scan triggers a tracking update so you can follow the exact journey of your delivery. Here’s what each tracking milestone means:
1. Consignment Collected
Your pallet has been picked up from the sender’s collection address and has entered the Palletforce network. This is the first scan you’ll see once your shipment is on its way.
2. Passed Through Collecting Depot
Your pallet has arrived at the local collecting depot, been sorted, and loaded onto a trunk vehicle heading towards the Palletforce SuperHub in Burton-on-Trent. This is a key transit point in the network.
3. Passed Through Palletforce Hub
Your pallet has arrived at and departed the central Palletforce SuperHub. From here, it is transferred to the delivery depot nearest to your address, ready for final delivery.
4. Out for Delivery
Your pallet has arrived at your local delivery depot and has been loaded onto the delivery vehicle. Delivery is imminent. If requested at the time of booking, you should also receive a 3-hour estimated time of arrival (ETA) window at this stage, so you know roughly when to expect your driver.
5. Delivery Complete
Your pallet has been successfully delivered. The tracking record will show the name of the person who signed for the delivery as proof of delivery (POD).
Yes – where the sender has enabled notifications, Palletforce can send you automatic updates via email or SMS text message as your pallet progresses through the network. These notifications are triggered by scans at each stage of the journey and may include:
• Confirmation that your pallet has been collected
• Updates as the pallet moves through the hub network
• Booking confirmation for your delivery date
• Notification when the pallet is loaded onto the delivery vehicle
• Your estimated delivery time window (ETA)
• Confirmation that your driver is en route
• Confirmation of successful delivery
If you’re not receiving notifications, it’s worth checking with the sender that your correct email address or mobile number was provided at the time of booking.
If you’re new to pallet deliveries, here’s a quick overview of what the experience looks like:
• You’ll receive tracking updates and if an ETA is requested, a 3-hour ETA window will be provided so you know when to be available
• The driver will arrive in a delivery vehicle equipped with a tail lift – a hydraulic platform on the back of the vehicle used to safely lower your pallet to the ground
• Your pallet will be unloaded at the kerbside, at the nearest safe point to your property
• You’ll be asked to sign for your delivery as proof of receipt
Important: All Palletforce deliveries are kerbside only. The driver will not bring the pallet inside your property. Please make sure you have arrangements in place to move your goods from the kerbside once delivered. Please note that the pallet does not need to be returned.

Tracking updates are triggered by scans at each stage of the network. If your tracking hasn’t updated for a while, it may simply mean your pallet is in transit between scan points. If you’re concerned, contact your local Palletforce depot using the Find a Depot tool.
If no one is available to sign for the delivery, additional charges may apply for redelivery. It’s important to ensure someone is available on the scheduled delivery date. If you need to rearrange, contact your local Palletforce member as soon as possible.
Palletforce offers three pallet sizes:
• Quarter pallet: up to 1m high, maximum 250kg
• Half pallet: up to 2m high, maximum 500kg
• Full pallet: up to 2.44m high, maximum 1,250kg
Before your pallet reaches your door, it moves through a carefully managed distribution network. Here’s how that journey typically looks:
• Collection from the sender’s premises
• Processed through the local collecting depot
• Transferred via trunk vehicle to the Palletforce SuperHub in Burton-on-Trent
• Sorted and dispatched to your local delivery depot
• Loaded onto a delivery vehicle and delivered to your address
• This efficient network enables next-day delivery when selected and ensures reliable coverage across every UK postcode, every day.
