Palletforce’s EVP Marketing & Communications Dave Holland recently attended Transaid’s 2026 Royal Showcase in London, celebrating 20 years of partnership between the international development organisation and Zambia’s Industrial Training Centre (ITC).

The event was attended by more than 100 representatives from the transport, logistics and international development sectors, alongside Transaid’s Patron, HRH The Princess Royal, recognising two decades of collaboration to strengthen professional driver training in Zambia.

The milestone provided an opportunity to reflect on the impact of the partnership, which has supported the development of professional driver training and helped build local expertise, while also highlighting Transaid’s wider work to improve road safety and access to healthcare across sub-Saharan Africa.

Lloyd Mbasela, Executive Director of ITC, shared the Centre’s journey and outlined its ambitions for the future of professional driver training across Southern Africa. Speakers Maria Torrent March and Grzegorz Patlewicz from Iron Mountain also highlighted the important role corporate partnerships play in supporting sustainable development.

The Showcase also celebrated individuals making an exceptional contribution to Transaid’s mission, with the presentation of the 2026 Victor Simfukwe Award. Frank Agyei-Monney was named this year’s winner, with Duncan Baldock and Neil Vorleto receiving highly commended recognition.

The event demonstrated how long-term partnerships, shared knowledge and local leadership can deliver meaningful, lasting improvements for communities and the transport industry.

Palletforce is proud to see the industry come together to recognise this important work and celebrate 20 years of progress towards safer roads and stronger professional driver training across the region.
