Palletforce has once again excelled in its commitment to quality management, environmental management and workplace health and safety, cementing its position as the UK’s premier express palletised freight network.

Following a rigorous six-day audit, Palletforce retained full re-certification of its ISO accreditation in three key areas, with the external assessment team acknowledging Palletforce’s use of data to drive performance management and customer service.

ISO – the International Organisation for Standardisation – is made up of bodies from more than 160 countries, set up to promote global standards for technology, scientific testing processes and working conditions.

Key areas of the ISO audit include assessing the organisation’s context and interested parties, evaluating the management system’s effectiveness and adherence to the standard, and confirming a commitment to continual improvement.

Auditors carried out thorough examinations of three of Palletforce’s ISO certifications: 9001, which evaluates the effectiveness of quality management systems; 14001, which tests environmental management systems; and 45001, the international standard for health and safety at work.

In their report, the auditors said they were very impressed with Palletforce’s data gathering and the use of that data to enable fact-based management actions. Palletforce’s processes and its management system continues to deliver policy commitments, including compliance with regulatory requirements and continual improvement, and is helping to minimise business risks and support the delivery of service excellence.

Beverley Knight, Palletforce Health and Safety Manager, said: “Businesses that have ISO certifications see improved credibility. It’s a seal of quality that a company’s stakeholders, customers and members can trust.

“We are delighted to have achieved full re-certification of all three standards and, with internal audits every other month and annual external surveillance visits, we will continue to pursue ongoing improvement.

“As a company, Palletforce is 100 percent committed to maintaining the very highest levels of operational and workplace standards and we are always looking for ways in which we can improve our performance.”

Mark Tapper, Palletforce Chief Executive Officer, added: “Palletforce is built on quality, from the approach we take across the network to the premium level of nationwide service delivered to customers.

“Achieving ISO reaccreditation with such a glowing report from the auditors is acknowledgment of the high standards delivered at the Palletforce SuperHub, which helps to power an unrivalled customer experience across the network.”
