Express delivery network Palletforce has been praised for its cracking efforts in donating hundreds of Easter eggs to struggling families and communities.

Staff at Palletforce, with the support of the delivery network’s member hauliers, donated 650 Easter eggs to Burton Albion Community Trust (BACT) as part of its Easter Egg Donation Drive.

Palletforce, whose distribution SuperHub is in Burton upon Trent, has formed a long-running partnership with BACT to bolster a range of community support campaigns and health initiatives as part of its dedication to making a positive difference in the areas where it operates, helping to create brighter futures for those in need.

The chocolate eggs, which will help make Easter a little more special for hundreds of families in need, will be distributed to the YMCA, family support charity Harvey Girls, Burton Hope, which provides practical help to those in crisis, BACT’s Easter holiday camps, BACT Primary Alternative Education and various other BACT programmes.

With the number of families facing poverty continuing to rise both in East Staffordshire and nationally, the donation drive campaign supports families who might not otherwise be able to provide their children with a chocolate treat.

The Palletforce marketing team personally delivered the 650 eggs, part of the 850 the campaign collected in total, to BACT.

Burton Albion Community Trust’s Head of Community John Widdowson said: “On behalf of BACT, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Palletforce for their incredibly generous donation of Easter eggs. This contribution will bring so much joy to our participants and the local community during our Easter egg campaign.

“We are truly grateful for their support and kindness in helping make this season brighter for so many.”

Danielle Owen, Palletforce’s Head of Marketing and Communications, added: “We’re incredibly proud of our long-standing partnership with Burton Albion Community Trust and the vital work they do across the local community.

“Through our employee champions programme, the Palletforce team came together to collect over 650 Easter eggs, and it’s fantastic to know these will bring a little joy to children and families supported by BACT.

“It’s a real privilege to support such an inspiring organisation that shares our values of community and care.”
