Billy Bolt has taken a commanding lead in the 2022 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship after a brilliant victory in round two in Budapest.

Billy, who is sponsored by Palletforce, won two of the three races on the night in Hungary. After finishing second in the first race, he fought hard to win the second race and put in a dominant ride in the final contest, winning by more than 10 seconds.

The result puts Billy, who rides for Husqvarna Factory Racing, on 123 points in the championship, 35 points ahead of the chasing pack with only three rounds remaining.

A jubilant Billy said: “It was a super difficult night, but I’m pleased to come away with another win and extend my lead in the championship.

“The track was really tight, and with not much traction it was easy to get arm pump and then make mistakes. Qualifying and SuperPole went well, but then in race one I struggled to find my rhythm and got caught up a few times.

“Race two went much better, and then race three was near enough perfect – I was able to manage my pace once I got to the front and held on to take the win and the overall.”

Dave Holland, Executive Vice President marketing and communications, said: “It is amazing how Billy delivers the goods time after time and consistently sets world-class performances.

“We have followed and supported his career for many years and we never fail to be impressed by his skill and determination.

“Hopefully now he can go on to lift another world title.”
